Fraser island.. The best part of my east coast trip!

We had to be ready to go to Freaser Islans 7.30 on the morning (18.12)! It took a while to pack all our stuff to the cars before we were ready to the adventure 😉 Our first driver was other one from dennish guys. We had to take a ferry to the island and finally we get to drive on the beach.. It was so much fun but when it was my turn, I was a bit nervous to be honest.. It was interesting to drive manual car at the beginning, but at least on the beach we didn’t have to worry about the traffic. 😀 Our guide was driving the first car and 3 other cars were following him. And we didn’t have any problems during the whole trip. 🙂

We went to swim to the most photographed point of the Fraser Island Lake McKenzie on our first day. On fortunately after a while it started to rain but at least we had a little sunny time at the beach. Rain didn’t last that long and we drove to the next spot. We went to see some rainforest. There was a small and soundless river where only women were allowed to go and we could also drink water from that river. On our first day we had to build our camp on the evening. It didn’t go as quickly as in our rock climbing camp but at the end we all managed to build our tents. All tents weren’t similar and we weren’t allowed to put anything inside because dingos can carry all stuff out of the tents. So after our camp parties someone had took our tent (me and 3 other girls) and we had to separate to different tents.. 😀 I didn’t have any other options than sleep in the same tent with the guys from my car because all other tents were full.

Day two started early.. Maybe around 7.30 ( I’m not sure cos I didn’t have watch for whole time in that magical island)! Our guide was driving around our tents and the speakers were as loud as he could those could be. First we drove to the Eli greek where we all went for swim (as in every other places too). In this trip we weren’t allowed to swim at the ocean because of the all the sharks. Our next stop was “champagne pools” that are filled with bubbling seawater. Like a nature’s version of a spa. It was quite cool but my bikinis were ful of sand after that.. And had to remain you that we didn’t have any showers during this trip. After this spa we went to see an old ship wreck called Maheno which looked quite unreal. It was time to took some group pictures in front of that wreck before it was time to g to the “shower”. We found some little waterfall were we could shower one at the time.. 🙂 And then it was time to go back to our camp and start the second day party!

Third morning started like the last one too. We had to put everything together before we were ready to go again. Our last day was full of swimming like two days before that too. We went to see first Lake Wabby which was awesome. We had to walk there maybe 2km and at the end of the walk we had to pass “dessert”.. And then the lake just came from nowhere. The scene was just amazing. Guys had their own competitions who can roll down to the hill in to the lake quickest. 😀 I couldn’t do it cos  was afraid that I don’t have my bikinis on after that. 😀 One bikini accident per trip is enough! We went to some other lake too but it just wasn’t as pretty as the first one.   At the end of the day we went to some lookout point so see some sharks.. And finally just when we were leaving we saw one shark on the ocean. It looked so small from the top.

Then it was time to hop in to out cars and drove back to the car park and solve our gears. Just before the ferry our guide car stuck in to the sand. 😀 And we had to push that out from the soft sand. 😀 I have to say that after this trip I was pretty happy. 🙂 I get many good friends and hopefully I’m going to see some of them later on my trips. But after trip we had the third night out still because we all were staying in the same hostel (because it was part of the deal). And of course it was so much fun. 😀
